Let's Twist Again is a monthly night at Catch that plays Motown, Soul, Rock&Roll and Swing! This one's for all you boppers, shakers, swingers and movers. Get dolled up, shake your groove thing and rock around the clock.

I will be djing alongside a host of residents including Chaka Kant, Adrian Storry and Strong Look!

Expect to hear songs from the like's of:

Aretha Franklin, Marvin Gaye, Sam Cooke, Chuck Berry, Stevie Wonder, Jackie Wilson, The Jackson 5, Billie Holiday, Elvis Presley, Otis Redding, Jerry Lee Lewis...etc.

and best of all, it's Free Entry all night.

Djing at Stitch! and a couple of reviews...

Happy belated new year! Hope you had a good one. I am fresh back from my trip to Australia where I had been travelling around for the past month. Had an amazing time over there and managed to cram in a load of gigs, beach bumming, clubs, restaurants, aquariums, zoos, shopping, surfing as well as lots of sight-seeing in Melbourne, Sydney and Canberra. I even had Christmas dinner with an actor from Neighbours, can you belive it?! It was the Aussie dream! Bonza!

I wrote a couple of reviews before I went away too. One is from a Drums gig in Kentish Town and the other was of a Madness show at Earls Court.

First off is the return of the ghetto weddings! A section of the Macbeth will be transformed into a decked out our Las Vegas wedding hall, where we provide the supplies for you to get hitched with. All you need to do is bring yourself and your 'boo' down to the alter, where you will be joined in holy matrimony by our ghetto priest. Then to the dance floor for your first dance as newlyweds where music will be brought to you by our mixture of awesome bands and DJ's.

"Strap It Up, Before You Slap It Up” such wise words from the man that is Tim Westwood. Throughout the night we will be providing you all with various treats to practice safer sex; catching an STI & babies can be icky so always be prepared boys and girls. Our own STI doctor will be more than happy to provide you with the tools to a thumping good time.

Our Trailer Trash Cupids will be spreading the love-bug by hosting our Personal Ads wall for all you singletons out there who are looking for a lil’ bump and grind. Make sure you get your booty call this Valentines by leaving your name, number and a saucy message.

What Ever Happend to P-Rock? Christmas Hoedown this Saturday! Free Entry!

I will be djing this Saturday at What Ever Happend to P-Rock's Christmas Hoedown at The Macbeth in Hoxton. It is free entry plus there will be a punk rock Santa Claus handing out treats!

Expect the usual fun and all the best punk rock, ska and hardcore anthems!

Rob Machado's Melali Premier @ Hurley HQ Costa Mesa 19/11/10

I was super excited to hear that Rob Machado would be playing with his band at the screening of his new surf film Melali at the Hurley HQ in Costa Mesa. I am a huge fan, not only of his surfing but of his humanitarian work too. He does a lot of work with Waves for Water, a company set up by pro surfer Jon Rose, which provides water filtration systems to impoverished communities that have no access to clean drinking water. He is also a very cool guy, and an amazingly talented surfer so I wasn't going to miss this opportunity to see one of my surf idols in the flesh!

The combination of the live music with the movie playing live alongside worked really well. There are some beautiful shots and some sick surfing by Rob himself, Kelly and Dane Reynolds amongst others, and the music heightened the whole viewing experience. There were free tacos beforehand and yummy drinks all evening courtesy of Sambazon, one of Rob's sponsors. Oh and not to mention meeting the man himself....so yes I had a good time!

Bug Salad!

I love living in London. There are so many fun places to go and to eat! I recently rounded off the late night Jack the Ripper tour of Whitechapel with a meal at Archipelago Restaurant in West London.

Archepelago specialise in exotic dining and they certainly mean it. The menu includes crocodile, kangaroo, zebra, scorpion and many other fantastic and unusual dishes! It was a great experience to try something different.

For my starter I ate crocodile. It tasted like chicken but had the texture of fish. It was delicious and I would highly recommend it! Just don’t think about it being a crocodile! For my main I had a wilderbeast curry. That too was out of this world! It reminded me of lamb or game and didn’t seem too hardcore really as it was kind of similar to stuff we have here. It was cool to say I gave it a try though! My side salad of locusts and crickets marinated in chilli and garlic was the most daring I got! Though, I drew the line at chocolate covered scorpions for desert.

However the atmosphere, setting and delicious delicacies have made me want to go back soon. I tried Mr One Piece’s zebra main and think I may order that next time... possibly with scorpion for desert!

Also, if you haven’t been on the Jack the Ripper tour that is worth looking into especially if you love history and a bit of a fright! My tour was conducted by a Beefeater from the Tower of London so he was full of stories, facts and jokes too!

Whatever Happend to P-Rock? and Whatever Happend to Nu Metal? Club nights

Hey hey! If you're a boarder or skater, you might be into the stuff I play at club night Whatever Happend to P-Rock? which takes place at The Macbeth in trendy Hoxton. Not far from Old Street or Liverpool Street. The last show had Justin Sane from Anti-Flag performing his solo stuff last month. It was awesome as I got to see the guy in such a small venue and he was full of cool stories about the political punk band that he fronts.

I djed before and after his set playing the likes of Rancid, Good Riddance, NOFX, Mad Caddies, Snuff, Bouncing Souls, Goldfinger, Frenzal Rhomb, Mighty Mighty Bosstones, Anti-Flag, Reel Big Fish, Less Than Jake, Lagwagon, Pennywise, Big D and the Kids Table, Distillers etc etc. After my set Justin told me that I played his favourite NOFX song 'Seeing Double at the Triple Rock' and that he was flattered that I played his track 'Turncoat'.




The next P-Rock is Saturday 18th September and will feature Boston Pop-Punk outfit A Loss For Words (www.myspace.com/alossforwords) plus support.

Rebellion Festival review on Subba Cultcha

This is me with Charlie, the front-man of legendary punk band UK Subs. I reviewed the old skool punk festival Rebellion in Blackpool at the beginning of this month, where I got to photograph and write about the original punk rockers as well as more contemporary artists including Vice Squad, Penetration, Big D and the Kids Table, F***ed Up, Citizen Fish, Star F***ing Hipsters, The Slackers, Dwarves, Agnostic Front, Gallows, UK Subs plus many many more.

This was one of the best festivals I have ever attended. The crowd were the friendliest bunch I have ever encountered, the organisation of the event meant very few bands I wanted to see were clashing and there was absolutely no trouble whatsoever.

Camp Bestival review on Subba Cultcha

Hey hey!! It's been a busy old Summer. Camp Bestival was one of the amazing festivals I was out reviewing! Here's me and my buddy Becky chilling during The Wurzels set! One of the festival's highlight along with Madness, Pronghorn, Friendly Fires, The Human League, The Cuban Brothers and Seth Lakeman.

I was lucky enough to have a back stage pass so I got to rub shoulders with the likes of Lee Scratch Perry, The Cuban Brothers, Madness, The Hypnotic Bass Ensemble and Pete and the Pirates; as well as use some rather posh flushing toilets!

Nokia X6 Launch party diary by Charlotte Dutton

Last night the Misticon Team headed out to the This Is Mission Nokia X6 Launch Party event hosted at Sketch.
The event had a huge turn out (people were filing out side until the event closed) but we walked through the line so that didn't bother us.
Charlotte was wearing a very on trend Floral print Top Dress (Gift) teamed with straight leg denims and her Daniela Besso Balloned Sleeve Jacket which Daniela gave to her in two colours after Charlotte walked the runway in a private fashion show for the Bulgarian Ambassador last year.
Psst- This is the first public appearance of baby girl Dutton (due in June) so Charlotte switched her favourite heels from Topshop (yes she is biased because she used to design for them) with some moccasin style fringe cuffed flats half way through the night.
In the bar James Cordon (from Gavin and Stacey) was grabbing some beers at the lounge and we bumped into an old friend of Charlotte's from her modelling days Henry Conway (Fashion writer for the New York Times, Fashion historian and knitwear designer). Henry was very excited about his difussion line of knitwear. He recommended Charlotte tried some of his new designs to compliment her bump!



















If you've ever partied at sketch you'll have visited the Egg Shape Toilet cubicles that speak to you. We bumped into stunning T4 Personality Jameela Jamil (also an ex model) who immediately ran up to Charlotte and put hands on her bump, really excitedly "You don't mind if I touch your bump do you?" (see snap up above). We really loved her gorgeous bubble dress she looked amazing.
Daisy Dares You took the first set of the night and later in the evening Lindsay Lohan showed and hopped on the Decks.
We had a really great evening out and Charlotte made her first public appearance of her pregnancy all the press were shocked when she popped in the press room to be photographed. Our team Misticon photographer George turned up for the event and snapped some great candid shots (we'll post these up later) including some pics of the diet friendly Mini hamburgers.
