We were invited to attend the World Premiere of Chalet Girl (a film about girl snowboarders) last night at Westfield Shopping Centre in London.We had a great time and really enjoyed the Film and After Party (which was all themed around apres-ski style with the idea of bringing the outdoors of the Alps inside with snow, Christmas tress, ski's, snowboards, icicles, Vodka luges and so much more.
'Chalet Girl' is a comedy about having the guts to ‘take the jump’.
Pretty tomboy Kim Matthews, 19, used to be a champion skateboarder - but now she’s stuck in a dead end job trying to support her Dad. Opportunity comes knocking in the form of a catering job in the one of the most exclusive chalets in the Alps.
At first, Kim’s baffled by this bizarre new world of posh people, champagne and skiing - but then she discovers snowboarding, and the chance to win some much-needed prize money at the big end-of-season competition.
But before she can become a champion again, Kim’s going to have to dig deep to overcome her fears. Hard enough, without the complicating factor of Jonny, her handsome – though spoken for – boss...
Chalet Girl's hits cinema's nation wide on the 16th of March and we would recommend you check it out. It's an easy to watch film with a good sountrack and awesome tricks performed by the doubles.
We especially loved Bill Bailey's Character in the Film and the Cameo by Tara Dakides!
